Cpl William Ramsey MM 9835 1st Cameronians (Scottish Rifles)

William Ramsey was born on the 20th Jun 1896. He was the second youngest son of George and Martha Elizabeth Ramsey. He went to France with the 1st Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) in August 1914. He was wounded three times on the 20th Apr 1916, 21st Aug 1916 and 30th Oct 1916.
He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field.
1n 1919 William married Elizabeth Alice Renwick and the couple had one daughter Dorothy. William died in July 1954.
