Miss Leontine Bideleux 9th Nov 1905

Leontine Bideleux was born in Clapham in 1881. She was the daughter of Alexis Bideleux who was the Managing Director of the French bank Le Crédit Lyonnais in London and his wife Leontine Emilie Bideleux (née Gabain). Her father died when she was young and sometime between 1905 and 1911 her widowed mother moved with her three daughters to a house called Belgrano (the family had connections with Argentina) in Cedar Road, Sutton. In the 1911 census her occupation is recorded as Professor of Music. In November 1911 she married Henri J Moncel in Sutton.
