Edith Emily Couzens (Nee Hewer) was born on 7 September 1882 in Highworth, Wiltshire, her father, Edwin, was 41, and her mother, Caroline, was 39. She married Albert Henry George Walter Couzens in July 1905 in Chippenham, Wiltshire. They had seven children including Kath's husband Reg Couzens. Edith died in April 1954 in Pontypool, Monmouthshire, at the age of 71.
Kathleen Jones was born in Newport Monmouthshire. Her father was Ernest Jones and her mother Catherine Jones (Nee Fielding). She married Reg Couzens in 1939
