Hugh Kell Gibsone was born in 1890 in Clapham, Surrey. His father Thomas Lamb Gibsone, a surveyor was 33 and his mother Emma Gibsone (Nee Ive) was 38. The family lived in Clapham, Croydon and then Carshalton. Hugh had a younger sister Irene Ive Gibsone who was born in 1893. In 1911 Hugh was 20 and living with his family and one servant at High View, 3 Dalmeny Road, Carshalton, Surrey and his occupation was listed as a Wireless telegraphist. Tragically Hugh died on the 16th October 1913 aged only 23. He is buried at St John The Evangelist Churchyard, Shirley, Surrey.
