Lanselot and Florence Nelson April 1887
This photo was taken at The Bath Hotel, Bath Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk in April 1887.
Lanselot Wood Nelson was born in January 1877 in Kensington Middlesex. He attended the Royal Military College Sandhurst and in July 1897 was gazetted a 2nd Lieutenant in The Rifle Brigade. He sadly died whilst on service on the 23rd October 1898 at just 21 years old.
Florence Evelyn Nelson was born in 1878 in Kesington Middlesex. She remained unmarried and inherited all her mother's money on her death in 1927. Florence died on the 26th December 1982 at the wonderful age of 104, and was buried in Northamptonshire.
