Yvor Surridge Morfey
Yvor Surridge Morfey was born on the 12th Jan 1880 in Fulham, London. His parents were Ivor James Morfey and Ellen C Morfey.
On the 2nd Sep 1908 Yvor married Lillian Munt and the couple moved to Surrey, first to 15 Osmond Gardens, Wallington then Wayside, Salisbury Avene, Cheam.
Yvor worked as a banker and he and Lillian had three sons, Kenneth, Dennis and John.
He was a member of The Rotary Club of Sutton from 1923- 1932 and was president from 1927-28. He visited Ostend in 1927 and Edinburgh in 1930 as the club's delegate. He had a reputation as a sound committee man and a pleasant and agreeable speaker.
By the early 1960s Yvor and Lillian were living in a flat in The Chilterns, Brighton Road, Sutton and after this in Lancaster Court Eastgate Banstead. Yvor died in Banstead on the 31st March 1968 and Lillian in 1972 at a care home in Worthing Sussex.
